Darya Dugina, daughter of Putin ally Alexander Dugin dies in Moscow car explosion

Ms Dugina died after a suspected explosive device detonated on the Toyota Land Cruiser she was travelling in, investigators from the Moscow region said in a statement. Andrey Krasnov, the head of the Russian Horizon social movement, told Russian news agency TASS that Mr Dugin was likely also a target. The car exploded near Bolshiye Vyazemy village in the Moscow region, law enforcement agencies told TASS earlier on Sunday.

Investigators, who described Ms Dugina as a journalist and political expert, said they had opened a murder case and would be carrying out forensic examinations to try to determine exactly what had happened.
